With the overwhelming bombardment of “going green” in the media and businesses of today, I felt like I should document my annoyed state of mind on the subject. I want to blend nature with man-made and manipulate their relationship. The wood grain is going to remain subtle in the background and I want to keep the carvings intricate with a lot of mixed surface marks, the more detail the better. To carve my drawing into the wood I used a wood burner, which allowed me to curve with and against the grain smoothly.
